ABOUT US

The Karagwe Rural Development and Environmental Conservation Agency (KARUDECA) is a prominent national non-governmental organization (NGO) headquartered in the Karagwe district, which is situated in the Kagera region of Northwestern Tanzania. The organization was initially established and registered in 2007 with the primary goal of serving the Karagwe district, focusing on promoting rural development and environmental conservation within this specific area.

KARUDECA's dedication and effectiveness in implementing various developmental and environmental projects led to its re-registration in 2016. This re-registration marked a significant milestone for the organization, as it enabled KARUDECA to expand its operational scope beyond the Karagwe district. With the new status, KARUDECA was authorized to extend its services and initiatives across the entire mainland of Tanzania. This expansion was a testament to the organization's strong performance and its ability to positively impact rural communities and the environment on a broader scale.

The agency's comprehensive approach encompasses various programs aimed at improving the quality of life for rural populations, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, conserving natural resources, and addressing environmental challenges. By leveraging local knowledge and fostering community participation, KARUDECA has been able to implement effective solutions tailored to the specific needs of different regions within Tanzania.

KARUDECA continues to play a vital role in driving sustainable development and environmental stewardship, contributing to the overall socio-economic progress of the country while ensuring the preservation of its natural heritage.
